7:24 Taper Tool Holder- BT chuck series
BT is the symbol of JIS 7/24 cone used since 1969 MAS403 Spec, called the MAS403-BT, which is the earliest ATC (Automatic Tool Changer) 7/24 cone specification. In 1998, Japan publishes JIS B 6339:1998 and uses it to replace MAS403; in 2007, ISO 7388-2:2007 becomes the new 7/24 BT outer-cone specification.
BT tool holder is named as ISO JBT. AD tool holder with center-through cooling hole is called the ISO JD. BT B tool holder flange-end with cooling hole is called the ISO JF. BT AD/B tool holder combines both the inner-cooling methods and is called the ISO JD/F.

SK is the symbol of DIN 69871 7/24 cone; JT is the China selected from ISO7388-1:1983; in 2007, ISO7388-1:2007 is 7/24.
SK (JT) new outer-cone specification SK (JT) tool holder is named as the ISO A.
SK AD (JT AD) tool holder with center-through cooling hole is called the ISO AD.
SK B (JT B) tool holder flange-end with cooling hole is called the ISO AF.

Hollow short cone Tool Holder- HSK chuck series
HSK is the hollow short cone Tool Holder; developed by University of Achen (Germany) in 1991; in 1993, it became DIN 69893-1~6:1993, including A, B, C, D, E & F cones. In 2001, it became ISO12164-1:2001, which changes the original 1/10 taper into 1/9.98, ensuring the large end of hollow-short cone can contact substantially while the taper contacts both sides of ends.
