CHUMPOWER and Beckhoff Automation signed a cooperation memorandum

For the first time, the Taiwan Machinery Industry Association, the Smart Machinery Promotion Office and the German Economic Office co-hosted the Tai-German Smart Machinery Online Forum, which debuted on the 9th to build a Taiwan-Germany enterprise cooperation platform and facilitate the cooperation between Taiwan’s leading bottle blowing machine manufacturer CHUMPOWER and Germany’s well-known Industry controller Beckhoff Automation (Beckhoff) signed a letter of intent for cooperation in intelligent system solutions for bottle blowing machine production lines. The two parties will deepen cooperation in information, communication and data transmission.

The 5th Taiwan-Germany Smart Machinery Forum was held in Taipei this year. Due to the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, it was changed to online today. With the main axis of "linking the world and moving towards the future of high-end manufacturing", it focused on the international trade war and the new crown pneumonia epidemic. The impact on the industry, smart manufacturing, system integration, and cooperation opportunities in response to high-end manufacturing. Witnessed by Ke Baxi of Taiwan Machinery Industry Association, Lv Zhenghua, Director of Industry Bureau, and Lin Baike, Chief Representative and Director of German Economic Office, Xie Shulin, Chairman and General Manager of Cumpower Industries, a large blow molding machine manufacturer in Taiwan, and Beckhoff Automation Taiwan Wang Suijun, the person in charge of the branch, jointly signed a memorandum of cooperation on the "Intelligent System Solution for Blow Molding Machine Production Line" to deepen the cooperation between the two parties.

Xie Shulin, chairman and general manager of CHUMPOWER, said that CHUMPOWER has four major businesses including bottle blowing machines, accessories such as CNC tools, plastic products such as PET and PCA, and smart agriculture. CHUMPOWER produces blow molding machines in Taiwan and mainland China. This year, CHUMPOWER makes up for the decline in other businesses through epidemic prevention machinery and products, and its operating capacity will not decline this year.

Xie Shulin pointed out that CHUMPOWER and Beckhoff have cooperated for more than 10 years. Beckhoff provides PC BASE controllers. The communication protocol in the control system is formulated by Beckhoff. The two parties have a cooperative relationship. The signing of the MOU this time will deepen the development of information and communication. Cooperation in aspects such as data transmission and database establishment is beneficial to the after-sales service needs of CHUMPOWER's customers in more than 100 countries around the world.

Ke Baxi, chairman of the Taiwan Machinery Association, said in a speech that the crisis is a turning point. The crisis of the new crown pneumonia epidemic will be a turning point for Taiwan's traditional manufacturing industry to move towards smart manufacturing. In the future, the Machinery Association and the German Economic Office will play the role of Taiwan-Germany machinery industry cooperation Bridges drive smart machines with smart manufacturing.

Ke Baxi pointed out in the interview that under the trend of anti-globalization, the world has reshuffled, and Taiwan's machinery industry has more opportunities, especially Taiwan's epidemic and economic performance are good. Although the monthly export value showed negative growth, the export of testing and measuring equipment and electronic equipment both grew. This shows that Taiwan's machinery industry has more opportunities. Except for those who produce standard machinery, the demand for customized and specialized manufacturers is emerging. The Machinery Association co-organized the Taiwan-Germany Smart Machinery Forum and established a Taiwan-Germany enterprise cooperation platform. Germany is the first country to propose Industry 4.0. The global supply chain is being reshuffled. Taiwan's machinery industry must seize the best opportunity. Supply chain plays a more important role. German manufacturers have high-end technology, Taiwan is good at customization to reduce costs, and the cooperation between the two parties can enhance the international competitiveness of the industry.
